If I have the headset laying on the desk when I start the game it puts me in odd places sometimes. Also try calibrating your VR in SteamVR. Not sure if you've used it yet or not but you can find it by hovering over your Library tab and then selecting tools, scroll down to find SteamVR (it's a free install) and run it after it installs.
The VR version of the game always updates a little bit later because it's a side project that only one SCS person works on (from what i hear in his spare time) its already there I mean the version. its just not working for me.

On my experience Anti Aliasing does not do well on ETS2 in VR,makes everything more blurry. The texture flickering can be reduced by increasing render resolution (either in config file (stereo buffer) or with Oculus Debug Tool (pixel density)),which eats a lot of performance tho. Check original post from vendor for more details
Don't know if you tried, but if you crank up your super-sampling settings up it looks much better. I have mine set to 1.75 and it looks not bad. I'll give that a try in C:\Users\-username-\Documents\Euro Truck Simulator 2\config.cfg edit this line
Hard to get it right with the Quest 2 but functionally it works okay. As for experiencing it, you'll have to buy the game first. The VR is only in a beta branch which isn't accessible in the demo. You can always refund the game within 2 hours and 2 weeks. #3.

So the OLD method was to put -openVR in your command line, but now its to select the correct VR Beta line ( and disable theatre mode in steamVR ) However, using a RIFT S, everytime I try and run the latest occulus beta ( latest one is 1.42 as of last night ), the game still says " ETS2 does not support VR, will load on your desktop.

For example, right now on Oculus Quest 2 there is only a wireless connection via Virtual Desktop, I can play SteamVR games only in this way, and Euro Truck Simulator 2 bought only to play VR, but I can't do it. After all, the game is still constantly updated, add full-fledged VR support! This is important.

A friend just made a new PC and with a fresh install (Windows 10 pro 64 bit). He has a HTC Vive. System is intel i7 9700 / 16Go ddr4 / RTX 2070 Windows and Nvidia drivers up to date. All the normal VR games works fine but we cannot get any of the "flat screen games" with a VR launching option to work. We tested with -Eurotruck simulator 2 -Project car 2 I checked with him all the required
The route adviser UI position can be moved in relation to your VR position by editing the relevant fields in the config.cfg file which is typically found in …\documents\European Truck Simulator 2. Note that this can be done without using a mod, and 1.46 has added additional position adjustments (x, y, pitch & yaw) which were not previously vVJnrFv.
